Cyclones shut out Scots in second round of playoffs

In their second game of the day, the Cyclones shut out McHenry County College 8-0 in five innings.

Right from their first at-bat, the Cyclones scored three quick runs on RBI singles from Estelle Loth (1-for-3, 2 RBIs) and Keira Clancy (1-for-1, RBI) and an RBI double from Haley Tracy (1-for-3, 2 RBIs) as the four, five, six hitters. Megan Hackett (1-for-1, RBI) and Annabelle Rush (1-for-3, RBI) each added another run in the third inning. An RBI fly out from Loth scored another run in the bottom of the fourth as well as a ground out from Tracy. In the team's last time at the plate, Londynn Sedlak (2-for-4, RBI) drove home a run after Abbey Mrskos singled and Teagan Krzystof (1-for-2) doubled.

Alexandra Wolcott earned the win, allowing just two hits and no runs while striking out three.
