Freshmen propel Cyclones to successful season
Freshmen were the key to a successful season for the Cyclones. The newcomers did not disappoint.
Cyclones brave snow and ice at nationals, finish 34th
The competition was as fierce as the weather for the Cyclones at the NJCAA Division II Cross Country Championship in Fort Dodge, Iowa. They ran well under messy conditions, finishing 34th out of 46 colleges.
A long-awaited return to the top
Although eight years doesn’t seem like a long time, it was for the Cyclones in their drive for a regional championship. They got what they worked hard for at the NJCAA Region 4 Championship along with a trip to nationals.
Big PRs at Bradley Pink Classic
In a packed field of runners, eight Cyclones earned PRs on the 8K course, and the team finished 11th out of 18 college and university teams at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria.
Cyclones push through heat at Brissman-Lundeen Invite
Heat was the biggest obstacle for the Cyclones at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational in Rock Island. Times were slow overall for every participating college, but the Cyclones took ninth out of 12 teams.
Full roster back to toe the line at Gil Dodds Invite
While not at 100% strength, the Cyclones were still able to run well among a sea of four-year colleges and universities for 14th place out of 20 teams at the Gil Dodds Invitational at St. James Farm in Warrenville.
First 8K of the season
After a couple of weeks off from racing, the Cyclones were back to work at the Spartan Classic in Geneva, finishing seventh overall.
Solid showing at opening race
The Cyclones put up a good showing in their opening race at the Saints Twilight Invitational in Channahon, finishing seventh out of nine teams, including four-year colleges.

Cyclones accomplish goals in successful season
Everything the Cyclones men’s cross country team set out to do this season, they accomplished, including having four runners compete at the NJCAA Division II Championship in Richmond, Virginia.
Two runners PR at nationals
Two out of four Cyclones runners earned PRs over the rolling 8K course at the NJCAA Division II Championship at Pole Green Park in Richmond, Virginia.
Second at regionals; four runners headed to nationals
With personal bests and grinding effort, the Cyclones took second place at the NJCAA Region 4 Championship at Lockport High School. Four runners qualified to run at the national tournament next month.
Fifth straight championship!
Five in a row! Cyclones men’s cross country earned their fifth straight Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference championship after taking first in the 8K event at the Northwestern Medicine Cross Country Course in Geneva, IL.
Cyclones are race ready
It was a good day for the Cyclones at the Warrior Invitational at Wisconsin Lutheran College in West Allis, WI. Over the hilly 8K course, the men placed fifth out of eight teams.
