The Cyclones started their playoff run with a matchup against an always tough Kankakee Community College. Although in their previous meeting they split a doubleheader, the Cyclones came up just short in the 5-2 loss.

Moraine Valley outhit the Cavaliers 7-6 but were unable to get enough runners across the plate. With Kankakee leading early, the Cyclones got both their runs in the third inning. Jill Zodrow hit a hard grounder and reached first on a fielding error before Londynn Sedlak (2-for-4) singled. Brooklynn Sedlak (2-for-4, RBI) drove the first run in after hitting a line drive to right field. Haley Tracy grounded out but was able to score the second run.
