The Cyclones had another barrage of hits, scoring 26 runs in their two-game sweep of Prairie State College.
GAME ONE
Contact with the ball was all the Cyclones did in their 20-4 victory over the Pioneers.
Londynn Sedlak led the offense, going 4-for-5 with 3 RBIs, hitting singles in the first four innings.
Although the Pioneers scored first, the Cyclones scored three runs in their next at-bat and continued collecting runs until their nine-run fifth, including a two-run homerun by Keira Clancy (2-for-5, 2 RBIs), to put the game out of reach. Other big hits this game came from Jill Zodrow (2-for-3, 5 RBIs), Brooklynn Sedlak (1-for-5, 2B, 2 RBIs), Haley Tracy (3-for-3, RBI), Abbey Mrskos (2-for4, RBI) and Teagan Krzystof (2-for-3, 2 RBIs).
Brooklynn Sedlak was the winning pitching, allowing four runs and striking out nine and only walking two.
GAME TWO
Some late inning hits gave the Cyclones the sweep after winning the nightcap 6-2.
The score was knotted at 0-0 until the bottom of the fourth when Estelle Loth (1-for-2) and Clancy (1-for-2, RBI) doubled and Tracy (2-for-3, 3 RBIs) homered to go up 3-0. The Pioneers answered in their at-bat with some hits and forced fielding errors to get within one. However, the Cyclones added some insurance after Londynn Sedlak (1-for-3), Brooklynn Sedlak (2-for-3), Mrskos (2-for-2, RBI) and Loth singled and Abbie Trendle (1-for-2, RBI) walked to add three more runs.
Tracy was on the mound this game, earning the win after surrendering two runs but striking out five.
