Cyclones battle Madison, collect eight hits in season finale

Baseball teammates high five and fist bump each other.

The Cyclones had one more opportunity in the playoffs, facing the No. 1 seeded Madison College, however, they were unable to get enough runners across the plate in the 12-1 loss.

It was a solid game for Moraine Valley, who collected eight hits to Madison's 12. In the second inning, Jared Velez was hit by a pitch and Michael Swatkowski (1-for-3) singled before Aidan Roessler (1-for-2, RBI) drove the lone run home on a single to left field. It was no match for the offensive power of the WolfPack.

Michael Fiedor, Valente Melero, Dylan Hullinger and Andrew Phelan each had a hit while Aiden Radtke collected two this game.
