The Cyclones finally played their final postponed game with Elgin Community College, coming up just short in an 8-4 loss.
It was the Spartans who had all the hitting power this game, as they strung together hits and runs. The Cyclones first got on the board in the bottom of the fourth after Michael Fiedor (3-for-4) and Valente Melero (1-for-4) singled before Aiden Radtke (1-for-3, RBI) hit a sac fly. They tied the game 4-4 in the sixth inning after Fiedor, Christian Deshazer (1-for-4) and Radtke loaded the bases with singles before Jared Velez hit a hard grounder and reached base on a fielding error that scored three runs.
However, the Spartans continued their hitting streak while the Cyclones went cold at the plate.
