The Cyclones pulled out another split, taking one from Prairie State College in a high-scoring affair.

GAME ONE
This first game saw a fielding error and some solid hits from the Pioneers to elevate them ahead of the Cyclones in the seventh inning.

With the Pioneers up 2-0, Moraine Valley scored all their runs in the sixth inning. To start the run, Aiden Radtke hit a grounder and reached first on a fielding error. Michael Fiedor (2-for-3) then singled before Joshua Keller (1-for-3) hit a grounder and scored a run thanks to another fielding error. Lucas Hicks was then hit by a pitch to load the bases before Andrew Phelan (1-for-3, 2 RBIs) scored the final two runs on a hard single to right field. But that was it as the Pioneers scored last to deal the Cyclones the 6-3 loss.

Carlos Flores was on the mound for the Cyclones, allowing eight hits and six runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out a season-high 10 batters.

GAME TWO
Valente Melero (2-for-3, 3 RBIs) led the way offensively this game with two home runs and three runs as the Cyclones won the nightcap 13-3.

The first two innings saw the Cyclones surge to a quick 7-0 lead. Melero hit a two-run homerun after Phelan (1-for-2) doubled. Fiedor (3-for-3, 2 RBIs) doubled and was brought home by another homerun from Preston Lund (2-for-4, 4 RBIs). In the next inning, Phelan got on after being hit by a pitch and scored on a groundout by Christian Deshazer. Fiedor doubled, Dylan Hullinger (1-for-3) singled and Lund walked to load the bases before Jared Velez (3-for-4, 3 RBIs) singled to score two more runs.

The Cyclones had another big inning in their last at-bat thanks to walks, fielding errors and doubles from Fiedor and Lund and a single from Velez.

The Pioneer mustered just five hits to the Cyclones' 13. Will Swierczynski earned the win after giving up one hit and no runs, striking out three.
