The Cyclones had some big hits in their matchup with McHenry County College but fell short in the doubleheader.
GAME ONE
The Cyclones showed some strength at the plate in the first game but could not stop the consistent offense of the Scots that started the scoring in their first at-bat. Sean LaValley-Subido (3-for-4) and Carlos Flores (1-for-4) were the big hitters for Moraine Valley, each hitting a homerun and earning 3 RBIs. Michael Swatkowski went 2-for-2 with a double and RBI. Flores was on the mound for the Cyclones, taking the loss after throwing three innings and allowing four earned runs while striking out five. Moraine Valley lost 13-7
GAME TWO
Despite collecting nine hits, the Cyclones could only score twice in the 13-2 loss. Andrew Phelan, Christian Deshazer and Joshua Keller each went 2-for-3 at the plate while Deshazer crushed a homerun. Dylan Hullinger earned the other RBI after hitting a double.
