Radtke hits grand slam in loss to Kaskaskia

The Cyclones were battled tested again with Kaskaskia College for a second consecutive doubleheader.

GAME ONE
The Cyclones offense was stunted in the first game as Anthony Gura (1-for-3) batted in the lone run in the fifth inning. It was the eight-run first inning for the Blue Devils, however, that hurt the Cyclones. Preston Lund (1-for-2) and Dylan Hullinger (1-for-2) had the other hits in this 11-1 loss.

GAME TWO
Aiden Radtke (2-for-3) had a big game at the plate, driving in five runs on two hits, but the Cyclones were outmatched by Kaskaskia after a big inning.

The Blue Devils had a string of big hits in the bottom of the second inning to get ahead 11-0, but the Cyclones eventually got on the board in the fourth. Gura (2-for-4) singled and Caston Norris was hit by a pitch before Lund (2-for-4) drove in one run. Radtke came up and hit an RBI double before two walks gave the Cyclones three runs. In the fifth inning with the bases loaded, Radtke crushed a grand slam, and Valente Melero hit a sac fly to give Moraine Valley eight. After Kaskaskia added a few more runs, the Cyclones tacked on one more after Michael Fiedor (1-for-1) hit an RBI double, but it wasn't enough in the 16-9 loss.
