The Cyclones never have an easy time when they face conference rival Waubonsee Community College, but with all players on point, they were able to oust the Chiefs from playoffs with a 6-1 victory.
In this NJCAA Region IV quarterfinal game, the Cyclones saw a team effort to win, but Jasmine Quezada and Allison Schaar were on fire. Between the two of them, they had four goals (two each) and six assists (Quezada had four). Schaar scored in the first minute of play and Quezada added the final nail in the coffin with 20 minutes to go. Gisselle Almazan and Azury Sanchez also each netted a goal.
The team continues their playoff run in the semifinals on Oct. 30 against Bryant & Stratton College in Wisconsin.
